New Animated Series Sigmar’s Toll Arrives on Warhammer+

The first episode of the brand-new animated series Sigmar’s Toll is now available for subscribers on Warhammer+. The show marks the first high-quality animation for the Warhammer Age of Sigmar setting, matching the production standards of previous Warhammer 40,000 animations like “The Tithes” and “Pariah Nexus.”

Sigmar’s Toll is set in the besieged city of Embergard, a Sigmarite stronghold and the last bastion against a massive Skaven invasion known as the Vermindoom. The story takes place at the beginning of the current Age of Sigmar era during a significant event called the Hour of Ruin. The city has managed to hold out against the odds with the aid of the Stormcast Eternals of the Hallowed Knights, led by the Knight-Questor Leodus.

The series is also a prequel to the latest season of Warhammer Underworlds, which is set in the catacombs beneath Embergard. The animation features intense action sequences showing the clashes between the Hallowed Knights and the Skaven hordes, as well as quieter, more somber moments that delve into the tragic fate of the Stormcasts and the internal politics of the Skaven clans.
