English Dub Review: New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt “Break the Internet/The Silence of the Internets/Fa Fa F*ck”

Overview

“Break the Internet and The Silence of the Internets”

A Fiery skull-faced Rookie police officer, “Impact Cop,” is dispatched to find the root of evil in Daten City. He determines this to be the Internet, which takes the form of a Ghost that he defeats with the help of Panty and Stocking. And later seeks their help once more when his chief is found murdered…

“Fa Fa F*ck”

As punishment for her constant profanity, Garterbelt forces Panty to wear a Heavenly tongue ring that severs and regrows her tongue every time she swears. Yet she somehow finds a loophole that allows her to sing profane words instead…

Our Take

This episode delivers a trio of wildly different segments, the first two tied together through a tongue-in-cheek police drama parody featuring a familiar crossover character from Studio Trigger’s past, Inferno Cop (Who, for some reason, is named “Impact cop in this universe), while the third segment completely switches tone into a vulgar yet oddly heartfelt musical. The contrast between these halves keeps the pacing lively, comical, and unpredictable, showcasing the series’ knack for swinging between absurd concepts without losing its sense of identity.

What makes the installment stand out the most is how it juggles its ridiculous ideas and concepts with both parody and sincerity. The police drama sketches lean into exaggerated violence and nonsensical logic, poking fun at everything from crime thrillers to the dark corners of the Internet, while the musical sequence takes Panty’s profanity and transforms it into a full-scale performance that’s as shocking as it is hilarious, and it’s clear that even the voice cast is having too much fun.

Overall, this episode is one of the season’s boldest, combining parody, music, and sheer unpredictability into a uniquely entertaining package. Even if some of the crossover nods fly over the heads of newer viewers unfamiliar with Trigger’s past works, the wild creativity and unapologetic humor remain accessible to anyone. The result is a blend of chaotic humor, clever references, and a surprising touch of charm that shines through the madness.
