English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “Together With You”

Overview:

Okumura and Nonoa have a heart-to-heart. Perhaps it will give the shy cosplayer the courage to clear up the misunderstanding between her and Ririsa.

Our Take:

Ultimately, Okumura is a pretty good guy. He went to Nonoa because he had a feeling that she didn’t hate Ririsa; she just doesn’t communicate well. He does everything in his power to help her feel comfortable talking to him. He looks away and turns his back to her so that she can’t see his face. I feel like if there were more people like Okumura, the world would be a better place. Sure, he’s kind of a perv that’s only into 2-D girls, but that makes him uniquely qualified to help people with poor social skills.

Since this is a harem show, I imagine this means that Nonoa will end up falling in love with him. Since she has such strong feelings for Ririsa, that might not happen, but she seems to love her as a fellow cosplayer. I know that a lot of girls are going to fall for Okumura because of the nature of the show, but that doesn’t mean they ALL have to. I don’t see Hanyu falling in love with him, even though I love a good forbidden romance. She seems more interested in “shipping” Okumura and Ririsa.
