English Dub Review: Flower and Asura “Interest and Talent”

Overview:

The new club members must take turns introducing one another, causing Hana to wonder what her strengths are.

Our Take:

This is a pretty show and I do love a coming of age story but I have to say I’m a little confused. Right now the story feels a bit disjointed. Hana is a fan recitation, she likes to read stories and poems out loud for people to hear. She’s a little shy of course but can manage to get through it pretty well. What confuses me is why she thinks the broadcast club would be a good fit for that. She won’t be reciting stories for the morning announcements as far as I know but perhaps I’m missing something.

It was a genius idea to have the new club members pair up and introduce each other. That way they would have to get to know each other and talking about someone else can be a little easier to do than talking about yourself.

So far, this is a cute fun show about following your passion. Nothing too special yet but a fun watch and I’m still waiting for the yuri stuff that it seems like this show is about. Maybe I’m wrong and it’s just a chill slice of life.
