English Dub Review: 2.5 Dimensional Seduction “We Need an Advisor!”

Overview: 

The Manga Club needs an advisor, or else Okumura and Ririsa will lose their clubroom! The new teacher could help, especially since she seems very familiar…

Our Take:

I was watching the opening to this show today, and I saw something that I can no longer unsee. There’s a clip where Ririsa is cosplaying as Liliel, and we get a close-up shot of her ankles. They look so off and weird, but I thought maybe it was a problem with the opening. That was not the case because when we met Ms. Hanyuu, the teacher that Okumura is trying to recruit to be their advisor, we saw her ankles, and oh boy, was it bad. I’m not sure if I just became more aware of it because of the opening, or what, but that is one thing that has started to bug me.

Otherwise, I enjoyed the episode because, as you might have guessed, Ms. Hanyuu is also a cosplayer, but she is trying to distance herself from it. Since she is a full-time teacher now, it wouldn’t work out for her to be making DVDs of herself half-naked. But when she sees Ririsa in her Liliel cosplay, she can’t help but become their advisor. Ririsa and Okumura still need to come up with an activity list that shows the merits of why the club should exist.
