English Dub Review: From Bureaucrat To Villainess: Dad’s Been Reincarnated! “Dad Cross-dresses”

Overview: 

Grace, also known as Kenzaburo, goes incognito to visit the bakery that Anna’s family runs, but Anna’s mother quickly deduces Grace’s identity.

Our Take:

If you’re a man who’s been reincarnated into a girl’s body and you wear male clothes, does that still count as cross-dressing? Anna and everyone want Grace to do it because they think she would be a dashing cross-dresser. However, despite being the title of the episode, it doesn’t have anything to do with it until the very end, and even then, we don’t see Grace put on men’s clothing. Maybe if they do the event that they want to for the festival, we’ll see it.

I have to say that I’m glad that it seems like we’re not going to get some sort of awful evil thing that’s going to happen. If we do with only two episodes left, then I think we might have bigger problems. If they were going to add a big plotline, it would have had to have been a few episodes ago. It was nice to see Anna’s mother, and she was as kind as Anna is. It seems like Grace might have guessed that Anna’s mother used to be in a noble family or something, and that is a plot hook that I would like to see.
