English Dub Review: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes “Bee”

Overview:

The drug Trigger is wreaking havoc all over town, but figuring out who’s dealing it is easier said than done.

Our Take:

I know that we’re supposed to suspend our disbelief when it comes to shows like this, but some things are hard to buy no matter what. Now things could change, but it seems like our main villain is a junior in high school. She did say that her part-time job is being a villain, so maybe she isn’t the tip top, but then I have to ask, who is paying her?! How are they paying her? I know, I know, it’s a show about people with super powers, and that’s what I have a hard time believing?

What I’m liking a lot so far is the “found family” aspect of our trio. Koichi goes to his apartment after school, only to find Knuckleduster has made himself at home. Then there’s a knock at the door, and a girl shows up, turns out it’s Pop-Step. They might have come together randomly, but it’s starting to feel like they might need each other. I don’t know if Pop-Step is gonna stay there permanently, but Knuckleduster seems to be there to stay.
