OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
Gaku and Haru meet a new potential investor Kazuki Kedoin who gives them a new investment on their future plans, whatever they may be.
OUR TAKE
Damn, we’re still here talking about this huh? And we’ve now got twenty episodes left? Okay okay, fine. We’re firmly outside of the coding competition now and moving onto the next stage of the story, with Haru and Gaku back to looking for better investors than Kirka Kokuryu. Unfortunately for them, it seems her briefly dulled obsession with them has been reignited anew with their victory in the competition, so she’s back trying to win them over and make sure she controls them, much to the chagrin of her assistant who is clearly holding a torch for her. Although she’ll have to wait in line behind Kazuki, the behatted man seen last episode and the Opening, and whose name sounds like a cross between Codeine and Ketamine which I have a sneaking suspicion he takes regularly. Basically what I’m saying is that he seems like a pretty shady individual, especially with how much money he has to just hand out to two dudes. But hey, I also wouldn’t say no to that much even if I knew I could never pay it all back, so who the hell am I to judge. We’re all victims to the almighty dollar at the end of the day.
Anyway, with this victory firmly in hand, Haru and Gaku have to get to work on figuring out what their business is going to focus on, and Haru’s idea IS…to just name it Trillion Game, after his goal of reaching a trillion dollars one day. Essentially their goal is to bullshit people by telling them “hey, we want to make a lot of money, like way more money than anyone else has ever made” and pretend that that is a feasible business model. And I guess that’s going to be enough to work for them since we’ve seen the flash forwards but I was definitely curious if they were going to come up with an actual idea. Though it turns out that all Haru really wants to do is flaunt their sudden wealth, try and attract new investors and employees, and then gain more wealth with that, rinse and repeat. I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see if an actual plan comes out of this whole mess, which I guess is definitely possible if there are twenty episodes left to cover. God damn, I can’t believe I won’t be done with this show until April of next year.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
