Netflix News: Beastars Season Premiere ; Arcane Cost ; Interactive Series Going

Netflix has announced a December 5th start date for Beastars Final Season Part One. 

The Beastars anime series takes place in a world of modern, civilized, anthropomorphic animals with a cultural divide between carnivores and herbivores. The series takes its name from the in-universe rank of Beastar, an individual of great talent, service, and notoriety. The story focuses on the gray wolf Legoshi as he deals with his attraction to the rabbit Haru.

The anime television series adaptation is being animated by CG studio Orange. Shin’ichi Matsumi directed the series, with Nanami Higuchi handling series composition, Nao Ootsu designing the characters, and Satoru Kōsaki composing the series’ music

Variety is reporting that Arcane is the most expensive animated series ever produced for Netflix with an estimated price tag of $250 million for 18 episodes. That said, a study for the most anticipated unreleased TV seasons in the US by online social casino Pulsz.com analyzed the unreleased seasons that saw the most searches each month across the past year from September 2024 to see which seasons audiences were anticipating the most and Netflix’s Arcane as the most-anticipated new adult animated series with an average of 86,000 searches a month, so whatever Netflix is paying it seems to be working as a lot of people are planning to watch the return of the series when it drops starting November 9th.

The second season of Arcane debuts on Netflix in November 2024. The animated series, one of Netflix’s most successful animated series ever, is created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee. Executive producers include Linke, Marc Merrill, and Brandon Beck. Fortiche Production directed and produced the Arcane animation, under the direction of the founders Pascal Charrue and Arnaud Delord.

The Verge is reporting that Netflix will be removing all but four interactive specials from its service. In the world of adult animation that really just means Cat Burglar will be removed of which we actually enjoyed, but starting December 1st you won’t be able to due to the fact that the interactive game/animated series will be euthanized.
