English Dub Review: I Parry Everything “I Parry an Army”
Overview (Spoilers Below):
The army of a foreign empire, which signed a non-aggression pact with the Crays Kingdom, finally began its invasion. Standing in its way: Noor!
Our Take:
The mighty Dragon of Calamity has been tamed, but the war between the two kingdoms is far from over. Well, at least until Noor had something to say about it. With the dragon defeated, it is now King Deridas’s time to shine as he sends an entire army fueled with magic-infused weapons to take control of the village. But, of course, they’re no match for Noor’s parrying skills, as he and Lynne join forces once more to defend their territory. The strategy is launching Noor straight at the army with Lynne’s high-speed spell from the previous episode, resulting in another quick victory for the master of parrying himself.
The previous episodes had shown Deridas as the power-hungry big bad of the series, as he seeks to take over Clays’s dungeon and even overthrow him, regardless of the outcome. However, we don’t know the reason he wanted it in the first place until this episode, in which Deridas hopes to retrieve the Black Blade, which Noor wields easily with one hand. However, upon seeing how “strong” Noor is with the blade, Deridas immediately turns into a frightened coward and retreats. So, in a way, the once formidable enemy is actually a giant wuss once he knows who he’s really up against. It adds to the series’s tolerable comedy amid its repetitive monster-of-the-week plots, which continue to elevate the narrative’s tedium more so than My Instant Death Ability.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
