English Dub Review: Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End “A Fatal Vulnerability”

Overview:

A perfect imitation of Frieren stands between the test-takers and victory, but Fern believes she knows how to win. Is it time for the student to surpass the master?

Our Take:

Look… I know… I can’t keep saying the same thing over and over, but believe me when I say that this anime will go down as a classic when all is said and done. At this point though I wonder if it’s ever going to stop. A part of me doesn’t want it to but then I also want the animators to get a break because they have been putting in the work since episode one. Not only that but I’m worried they are going to catch up with the manga soon, we’re nearing thirty episodes so I’m just wondering when “season one” is going to end but I”m fine if it doesn’t.

Everyone has begun to work together to figure out how to take down the Frieren imitation. But Frieren knows that Fern has the power to kill her and puts all of her trust in her. When I tell you that the fight between Frieren and Frieren was one of the best fights I’ve seen, I promise it’s not recency bias. This show puts on some of the best fights and to me this anime has become practically a perfect show. It has amazing action scenes but also gives the characters room to breath with plenty of slice of life and quiet time. I don’t want this amazing ride to ever end.
