English Dub Review: Heaven Official’s Blessing “S2-E11”

Overview: 

Xie Lian and Hua Cheng further discuss the events that happened.

Our Take:

I would say that if you came to this series for the BL romance angle then you’re going to start getting some payoff finally. Xie Lian is starting to see that there is more to Hua Cheng than meets the eye and that they might have already met each other in the past. By the past, I mean way in the past, before his first ascension into godhood.

I’m no expert but I have a feeling that Xie Lian has been a god for a long time. This series has been enjoyable but I want to get to the background of Hua Cheng. I understand very little about why he is the way he is. Not only that but why does he have such a fascination with Xie Lian? Was it a past life or something? That’s the only thing I can think of and I believe some things were mentioned previously but I’m going to need a moment where all the puzzle pieces are connected.

The next episode is our last episode and I have a feeling this will get a third season. From what I know of the source material there isn’t much left to adapt so I hope this gets a chance to finish telling the story.
