English Dub Review: Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War “The White Haze”
Overview:
Ichigo completes his training at the Royal Palace and sets out immediately upon learning that the invasion by the Quincies has begun. En route to the Seireitei, Ichigo contacts Urahara and asks everyone to prepare themselves for the battle.
Our Take:
I was watching this episode with my fiance and when it got to the part when we got to see Rukia’s Bankai I told her that some people had been waiting ten years for this. She looked at me and said “Ten years?!” yes sweetheart ten years. There have been a lot of parts from the Bleach manga that I’ve had fans tell me they couldn’t wait to see animated and this was one of them. I can’t jump on that bandwagon quite yet since I first started my Bleach journey back in 2021. It hasn’t been that long for me but I can see why this is one of the fan-favorite arcs.
In most shonen anime the main character is the hero needed to defeat the big bad guy. But only in this and Dragonball does it seem like the characters themselves are saying things like “We just need to survive until Goku/Ichigo shows up and we’ll be fine”. It’s really crazy but few things hyped me up as much as Goku coming to save the day on Namek or Ichigo rescuing Rukia. Well, folks, Ichigo is on his way and I have a feeling he’s going to mess up some Qunicies.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
