English Dub Review: Link Click “Two Funerals”
Overview:
It’s the day of Officer Chen’s funeral.
Our Take:
Link Click never shies away from emotional scenes. The back half of this episode is filled with the brim with tearjerking moments. That’s not hard to imagine given the subject matter. After all, everyone is mourning over Officer Chen’s death. It’s a sad moment, but the show finds a way to throw in a touching and uplifting scene.
All that aside, this episode also does a great job at progressing the story. The guys who were fighting Qiao and Cheng get beaten up and arrested. There’s also some development as to what really happened to Officer Chen. Liu Min’s death is touched on as well, but that will likely be explored more later on.
We get to see more of Qian Jin, a lawyer who used to be a police officer. In fact, he used to be Captain Xiao’s partner. He’s representing Liu Min’s parents now and they blame the police for their son’s death. They want to take the police department to court, but there’s a lot more to this story below the surface. Some people involved aren’t quite who they seem to be.
Lu is given a piece of information as well. Unfortunately, we don’t really know what it is or how it fits in with the rest of the case. It still leaves the viewer guessing, which has always been one of this show’s greatest strengths.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
