English Dub Review: My Hero Academia “League of Villains vs. U.A. Students”
Overview:
Yaoyorozu formulates a plan to stop Gigantomachia but as we know the best-laid plans often don’t go well. Meanwhile, Deku and Bakugo have their hands full with Shigaraki but he has a sinister ace up his sleeve.
Our Take:
Okay… I know what this is going to look like with all the tens I have been giving but I promise you some of these episodes have just been THAT good. It doesn’t help that this is one of the best arcs in My Hero Academia. From here on out everything is just bonkers for this series and getting refreshed watching it is utterly fantastic. I vaguely remember some of the things that happen but getting to see it animated is a whole new thing and I’ll let you know you’re in for a treat.
I love getting to see the younger generation step-up and do what is asked of them when it counts. That is just what class 1-A does here and it was awesome. How I feel about Bleach is very similar to how I feel about this series. The main characters are cool and exciting of course but so many of the side characters get great development and tons of moments to shine. I know a lot of people may look at this as “just another shonen” but it is so good. I won’t delve into too many spoilers this week but next week will be fantastic as well. The animation was adequate but the voice acting really shined with this one. When we get a little bit of calm during this arc I want to go in-depth with it.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
