English Dub Review: Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer “Amamiya Yuuhi and the Shinonome Brothers”

Overview

Mikazuki introduces Yuuhi to the job he inherited from Hangetsu, and after reminiscing about him, they agree to duel…

Our Take

This time around, Yuuhi and Mikazuki finally settle their long laid rivalry since they first met. The duel that Mikazuki has wanted this whole time and now Yuuhi is ready to accept his offer. It was also nice fleshing out the shared past of the brothers together through flashbacks to Mikazuki as a little kid with his big brother Hangetsu.

On the subject, Hangetsu was a character we didn’t see much of at the beginning of the story but still got attached to by the time of his death. As for the outcome of the last episode, Yuuhi winning the duel made me happy especially after badly he fought Yayoi not long ago. Unleashing all those feelings surrounding the guilt of Hangetsu’s death and his wish. Now Yuuhi can reward himself with a date.

Overall, while it felt like everything in this episode lacked a bit of impact, I am still interested to see what happens with Samidare and the Hammer though. Along with the protagonist, I admired the princess’ fight against the “Tenth”, and Anima’s intervention made the sparring more anticipated, though it couldn’t have been without a catch. I look forward to seeing what happens next!
