NYC2022: Hulu’s The Paloni Show Panel Was Kinda A Smiling Friends Panel
Seriously, could Adult Swim not just split the bill somewhere and do a Smiling Friends panel? Because here’s a panel that featured Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack (The Paloni Show’s “A Creek Down the Street”), like, why not? Ben Bayouth I’m sure watches Smiling Friends, but here we are, doing a panel for The Paloni Show.
After showing some of the special which will feature a number of shorts inspired by Halloween, the disastrous host clearly was trying to just name drop Rick and Morty as much as she could, but really the show is a great way to feature a number of producers from all over the world on a much bigger platform.
Zach Hadel (“Smiling Friends”) plays Reggie, the short fused, fast talking little brother of the family with a foul mouth and a tendency to let his temper get in the way of doing his job as a host. He lies for most of the panel about guest appearances and such, but as expected, get ready for a number of horror-themed bits sprinkled throughout when this thing hits like a comet.
Synopsis:
From creator Justin Roiland (“Solar Opposites”), “The Paloni Show! Halloween Special!” premieres October 17, 2022 on Hulu. In this special, Leroy, Reggie, and Cheruce Paloni have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to be the hosts of an unforgettable Halloween Special full of “spooky” shorts from a group of up-and-coming animators. “The Paloni Show! Halloween Special!,” executive produced by Roiland and Ben Bayouth, comes from 20th Television Animation.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
