English Dub Review: Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest “God’s Apostle”

Overview

As Hajime’s deadly duel with Noint continues, Aiko and Tio hatch a plan to assist Hajime. The other students also notice the alarming noise and gather to figure out what’s happening…

Our Take

In this episode, Hajime tThisound, Hajimeed bullet hell against the Angelic creature “Noint” in this episode, but the fight and animation was quite decent. After Tio rescues Ms. Aiko, Aiko destroys the whole Church with her Farmer skill, which feels like clever ingenuity to produce power so flammable as to annihilate the entire building and the people in it. Of course, she was shocked by its severity and devastating results afterward.

Also, when The students got ready for the incoming demon invasion, It makes sense that none of them were prepared unless they worked with Meld. But as immediately as they’re gathered together, unexpected and scary shit begins to happen when someone amongst them shows their true colors…

Overall, this was quite a suspenseful episode. This also played with the expectations of having all the good guys being summoned to fight a common foe only for it to blow up in your face made all of this alot less predictable and hit our preconceptions even harder. They should have suspected who it was, considering that the very same technique was used to take over the Royal Guards and was all carefully foreshadowed throughout the season…
