English Dub Review: Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song “Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song”

Overview
After being sent back in time, Vivy quickly informs Matsumoto of the situation and, at Osamu’s request, immediately approaches Toak, resulting in the scientist’s death but also saving vital resources. Using her foreknowledge, Vivy instructs Matsumoto and Toak to assault the Arayashiki Tower while she returns to Nialand’s main stage to shut down every AI using her song, considering it a “fitting stage”…

Our Take

This 100-year long journey has been quite an experience leading up to the proper end of this series. Vivy went back in time to the beginning of this madness and thankfully this time she managed to save everyone, though it came at a cost… At the very least, I feels like it perfectly encapsulates Vivy’s whole journey from start to finish.

I had no clue what to expect from this show going in, especially with it being an original story. The only downsides from the episode came from the fact that some other parts like archive being the final villain and all of the drama with the sisters felt a bit pointless which rubbed me the wrong way. That being said, this was still a pretty good show, especially for an original.

Overall this was an excellent finale despite feeling safe and predictable in places. It wasn’t perfect, but everything felt nicely put together as it was very straightforward and emotionally potent. I did find it funny how the end of this anime is literally a musical number about how “life is a journey, not a destination” and yet it still felt quite solid. If there’s anything I can take from this, its core message was about finding something you love and putting your heart into what you do. And to some extent, this was conveyed properly. Reportedly there’s going to be the 14th episode soon to be dubbed by Funimation but it remains to be seen when that will be out.
