Comic-Con @ Home 2021: Blade Runner: Black Lotus Panel
The Blade Runner: Black Lotus panel was moderated by Jason DeMarco and included the two co-directors Shinji Aramaki and Kenji Kamiyama. Also joining the panel was executive producer Joseph Chou, voice director Wes Gleason, and the voice of the main character Elle: Jessica Henwick.
Blade Runner: Black Lotus has been a five-year journey getting it to this point. The show takes place after the first movie and is set roughly around 2032. Which places the show about seventeen years before Blade Runner: 2049.
They released a new key visual and a new trailer. After watching the trailer I am thinking that a rewatch of Blade Runner is in order. It looks good, and they are going full CGI with this one. Blade Runner: Black Lotus drops on Adult Swim and Crunchyroll this fall.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
