Review: The Loud House “Hurl, Interrupted; Diamonds are for Never”
Overview
“Hurl, Interrupted”
After winning a contest from a roller derby event to an amusement park. Lynn despite putting up a tough tomboyish front to her friends, tries to stall her friends from riding an infamously scary roller coaster out of fear & apprehension…
“Diamonds are for Never”
During a territorial hunt for treasure using metal-detector-like devices, Lola and Mr. Grouse mutually find a gem that puts their loyalty to the test…
Our Take
For the Lynn-focused episode, the answer to her problems ends up being some much-needed advice she gets from Clyde earlier that she blatantly ignores, but becomes the heart of the episode which at its core is about honesty and facing your fears amongst your peers. Peer pressure can be a real bitch, but if your friends really got your back, they’ll be respectful and considerate to your boundaries.
As for the second episode, the theme is mostly focused on how Greed brings out the worst in people as Lola and the Loud’s hermit-like neighbor Mr.Grouse develop a petty & destructive rivalry of sorts for the sake of making some extra money on the side which reaches a predictable conclusion that at least still delivers in laughs while getting its message across a lesson about trust.
Overall while both were decent episodes that fell a bit wacky side in places, they properly got their messages across and thankfully were less annoying about it…

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
