League Of Legends-Inspired “Arcane” Headed To Netflix For Fall 2021 Debut
We’ve been covering the Arcane animated series for a while now, and now we have both a release frame AND network. Netflix has quietly picked up the rights to the upcoming series set to debut Fall 2021.
From the creators of League of Legends comes a new animated series, Arcane. Set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League champions-and the power that will tear them apart.
The series was originally slated to drop in 2020 but was delayed due to COVID-19 on-set production issues. The series was announced at the League of Legends 10th Anniversary celebrations, and is being developed and produced by Riot, animated by Fortiche Productions. Check out a teaser for the CG series below in what Netflix is calling an “animated event series”.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
