Overview:
Son is preparing for his date night with Regina. He seeks help from Blark, Fletch, and Stacey to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
Our Take (Spoilers Below):
Date nights can be nerve-racking at times. You always had to hope that a special day goes well between you and your loved one without a single mishap. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it winds up being a disaster. Today’s episode of Blark and Son represented this situation in the most awkward, humorous, and relatable way possible. Even though the story falls into some familiar tropes from time to time, it managed to deliver another entertaining and funny chapter in Son’s journey to adulthood. The plot was able to take advantage of these tropes by showcasing the pivotal point of Son’s relationship with Regina, which didn’t turn out the way I was expecting during its conclusion. In other words, this date night was anything but perfect. I would give the writers credit for taking that risk instead of relying on the usual happy ending like the other date night episodes from other shows. I also enjoyed the comedy involving Blark’s “date night security” role. If I were on a date with a special someone, I would hire him to be my date night security.
The date night episode of Blark and Son showcased the scenario’s comedy and awkwardness almost flawlessly. Not only that, but it raised some questions as to how Son is going to fix his relationship with Regina. After what happened at the end of the episode, it does appear that he has lots to learn about love. Here’s hoping that the next episode will answer some, if not all, of those questions. No one deserves to have a broken heart during the month of romance, not even Son.
"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
