Review: Descendants “A Rotten Holiday”
Descendants love decorating during a short stop-motion holiday special.

Overview (Spoilers Below):
The Descendants kids are celebrating their first Christmas! They get to experience gingerbread house-building and Christmas tree decorating. Obviously, they’re enjoying the festive fun.
But someone is bent on ruining their holiday. Decorations are being stolen by a mysterious hooded figure. After Jay is wrongfully framed as the thief, things look grim. But a barking dog alerts the residents of Auradon to the real thief’s activities, and they take him by surprise. It turns out to be Chad, who stole because of his jealousy of their happiness.
Our Take:
The characters were forgettable and the storyline cliched. I enjoyed the rhyming narration, though it would’ve been nice if the real actors had returned to voice their puppet counterparts. As a sucker for stop-motion animation, I did appreciate the old school holiday special-vibe it gave to the short.
Overall, I’d recommend A Rotten Holiday to fans of Disney’s Descendants looking for a bit of holiday cheer to brighten their day. To everyone else? Keep sledding right past it. You won’t be missing much.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
