English Dub Review: URAHARA “Gummy Gummy Dummy”
The colors of URAHARA are stolen by the Scoopers in a mediocre episode.
Overview (Spoilers Below):
The Scoopers have returned yet again, but this time they seem to be after the city’s colors instead of it’s culture. Of course, our girls can’t let that happen, so they take down the aliens in the usual fashion: Kotoko on logistics, Rito as the fearless leader, and Mari shooting her giant cannon. After fending off the color-thieves, they have a picnic and admire their newly-painted murals in the ‘sky’ of the protective bubble.
Our Take:
This episode was fine. It didn’t improve upon the previous episodes in any way, and it didn’t seem to make any progress in the plot-department, either. There were some mildly interesting comments about how much color can impact the world around us. (Even cake is less fun when it’s only gray!) The routine of having a Scooper battle in the latter half of every episode is becoming predictable and stale.
As usual, the most enjoyable part is the art style. Episode 5 incorporated a lot of neat comic book panel-type shots. All of URAHARA’s visuals feel fresh and lively. I just wish I could say the same about the rest of the show.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
