English Dub Review: Interviews with Monster Girls “Succubus-san is Inquisitive”

This week we meet two new characters, Kurtz and Ugaki. Kurtz is a trainee of Ugaki whose sole purpose is to make sure demis are safe outside of the confines of school. He quickly reconnects with Sakie and convinces her to ask out Tetsuo, but his real mission is to learn just what the bio teacher is doing and what his intentions with the girls are. After a quick smoke break, Ugaki comes away believin’ in the teacher’s mission.

Meanwhile, Kurtz introduces himself to Sakie, the demi girls, and to some perverted boys who are caught taking pics of Sakie when she isn’t paying attention. When Kurtz isn’t in hallways crying over nothing, the part-German kid is actually a pretty sweet kid, but questions about his libido arise due to the fact that he doesn’t seem to be affected by Sakie’s powers. The only two types of guys that can withstand her aphrodisiac effects are in fact guys with low libido or homosexual, and the episode certainly seems to point to the latter when it comes to Kurtz.

Our Take

Filler episode all day. Met some new characters, got a smoke break that would certainly make Jean from ACCA wanting in, and we get some progression from Sakie in her pursuit of getting married and settling down, perhaps with Tetsuo. By the way, when was it established that Tetsuo was a smoker? In any case, I’m actually more curious about seeing Kurtz’s contributions to upcoming storylines than I am of Ugaki’s, so we’ll see what happens.
