English Dub Review: The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten “First Part-Time Job”
Overview
Amane goes behind Itsuki’s back and starts a part-time job in order to save up for a special gift for Mahiru.
Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten sees Amane take a part-time job at a café as he begins thinking more seriously about his future with Mahiru. Between adorable matching pajamas, quality time with his father, and some amusing new characters, the episode delivers plenty of wholesome moments.
Although Amane’s determination is admirable, his reluctance to rely on his longtime friends remains a noticeable character flaw, especially when Itsuki expresses disappointment over being left out. The episode also continues to emphasize the couple’s wholesome dynamic. Nevertheless, Amane’s growing maturity is nice to see, and the new workplace offers some welcome variety as the season approaches its conclusion.
Overall, this was another sweet and enjoyable episode that highlights Amane and Mahiru’s growing bond. Although this season hasn’t quite recaptured the magic of its predecessor, there’s still plenty to appreciate, and hopefully the final episode delivers a satisfying conclusion to their latest chapter.
