English Dub Review: LINK CLICK ” Welcome Banquet; Testing the Waters”
Picking up from the previous episode, we get a double feature with “Welcome Banquet” and “Testing the Waters,” which continue expanding the mysteries surrounding Saros, Bridon, and the world’s supernatural abilities. Both episodes spend a lot of time exploring the connections between the characters, their pasts, and the events surrounding Bahati. There’s also plenty of intrigue involving Liu Xiao, Vein, Felix, Xia Fei, and Jae, with several characters clearly hiding more than they’re willing to reveal. The story continues planting little clues that make it clear these seemingly separate mysteries are all connected somehow.
The second episode builds on that momentum by digging further into the characters’ histories and bringing the events surrounding Bridon and Bahati more into focus. There are some great character interactions, particularly involving Lu Guang, Felix, Jae, and Qiao Ling, while Cheng Xiaoshi’s journey into the past provides another interesting perspective on everything unfolding. The mystery surrounding forgotten memories, supernatural abilities, and the connections between the characters continues to grow, making these episodes feel like important pieces of a much larger puzzle.
Overall, these two episodes do a great job of expanding the lore while gradually making the story feel more interconnected. There are still plenty of questions surrounding the characters and their motivations, but that uncertainty makes the mystery even more engaging. The writing continues to weave together the past and present in an interesting way, while the growing connections between Bridon, Bahati, and the supernatural elements give the story plenty of momentum. With so many mysteries still hanging in the air, I’m definitely curious to see where everything leads next.
