The story follows the mysterious Medicine Seller as he enters a grand Edo-period merchant estate haunted by a venomous serpent spirit (Mononoke). To exorcise the entity, he must once again uncover the Form (Katachi), Truth (Makoto), and Reason (Kotowari) behind the tragedy that birthed it.
