Picking up from the previous episode, Amane and Mahiru continue enjoying their summer together as Amane gets another opportunity to put his troubled past behind him. Their time at Amane’s home comes to a warm conclusion, while the return of Itsuki and Chitose gives the episode a welcome change of pace. Amane’s growing confidence is especially noticeable, as he finds himself offering Chitose reassurance about her relationship while Mahiru has become comfortable enough to seek advice of her own.

The summer festival is easily the highlight, bringing both couples together for a fun and wholesome double date. Mahiru looks adorable in her sundress and yukata, while Amane once again shows how far he has come since they started dating. Their romance remains deliberately slow and affectionate, relying more on subtle gestures and genuine chemistry than forced drama. There is also plenty of lighthearted comedy, charming character interactions, and a new ending sequence that perfectly complements the festival atmosphere.

Overall, this was another sweet and relaxed episode that focuses more on character growth and relationship development than major plot progression. While the constant sweetness may feel repetitive at times, the stronger chemistry between the characters and increased variety in the setting make this season more engaging than the first. The animation and artwork remain solid, with Mahiru once again standing out visually, and although the series continues to take its time, sometimes the sweetest romances are the ones that make you enjoy the wait.
