Picking up from the previous episode, we are this time introduced to Rentarō’s thirteenth girlfriend, Nadeshiko Yamato, better known as “Naddy,” a Japanese teacher with a very unusual personality. Presenting herself as a wacky, over-the-top “Ameriboo,” essentially the opposite of a “Weeaboo,” where instead of a foreigner obsessing over Japanese culture, Naddy is a Japanese native who has made her obsessive love for American culture her entire identity; she fully embraces an exaggerated version of the American image. From her cowboy aesthetics and constant freedom-loving speeches to the English dub’s southern accent, Naddy immediately stands out as one of the series’ most eccentric additions, bringing a fresh wave of chaotic comedy to the Rentarō Family.

Despite her larger-than-life gimmick, the episode does more than simply rely on Naddy’s jokes and reveals there is unexpected depth behind her persona. Her obsession with American culture and her desire for freedom are given more context, adding a layer of sincerity beneath all the absurdity. The episode also delivers plenty of entertaining moments through her interactions with the other girls, especially during a fun segment where everyone gets the chance to express themselves through cosplay outfits, which I thought was a nice touch.

Overall, Naddy’s debut is another strong example of how this series can take ridiculous concepts and turn them into surprisingly enjoyable character introductions. While her exaggerated “Ameriboo” personality may not work for everyone, there is genuine charm behind the comedy that makes her an entertaining addition to the cast. With a mix of nonstop humor, creative visual gags, and a surprising amount of heart underneath the chaos, this episode continues the season’s fun and unpredictable streak.
