Kieran Culkin Cast as the Devil in Upcoming ‘Family Guy’ Halloween Special on Hulu
Quahog is getting a visit from the Prince of Darkness, and he happens to sound a lot like Roman Roy.
During the Family Guy panel at San Diego Comic-Con, executive producer and co-showrunner Rich Appel revealed that Emmy-winner Kieran Culkin will guest star as the Devil in the upcoming Hulu-exclusive Halloween special, titled Happy Hell-o-ween.
Appel was joined on stage by core cast members Alex Borstein, Arif Zahir, and Jennifer Tilly, alongside co-executive producer and supervising director Peter Shin, to share a first look at Culkin’s character design and offer details on the show’s return to streaming-exclusive holiday events.
Brian and Stewie Dragged to Hell for 24 Seasons of Bad Behavior
In Happy Hell-o-ween, Brian and Stewie find themselves banished to the actual underworld as reckoning for 24 seasons’ worth of atrocious antics. However, the duo’s knack for getting under people’s skin follows them down into the pit—annoying Culkin’s Devil so intensely that he turns over control of Hell to them.
“Having danced with any number of devils on Succession, Kieran Culkin now gets to play the Devil himself,” the network teased during the reveal.
Hulu Holiday Specials Return Beside Broadcast Season 25
Culkin’s Halloween turn is part of a duo of streaming-exclusive events arriving on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally later this year. The second special, a Christmas installment titled The Peter Clause, centers on Peter Griffin competing against the guys in Quahog to become the town’s official Santa—naturally devolving into chaos when he loses the title.
While the two standalone holiday events will stream exclusively on Hulu this fall, the main broadcast series will return for Season 25 on FOX in 2027, streaming next-day for Hulu and Disney+ bundle subscribers.
