Warhammer+ Takes to the Skies With New 3D Animated Series Arkanaut

Games Workshop’s Big Autumn Preview delivered a massive surprise for Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans, revealing the first-ever 3D-animated series starring the sky-faring duardin of the Kharadron Overlords. Titled Arkanaut, the upcoming show marks the animated debut of these mercenary, capitalism-fueled steampunk dwarves and their cannon-heavy skyvessels.

Charting a Course Above the Mortal Realms

Following in the footsteps of recent episodic narrative drops on Warhammer TV, Arkanaut is structured as a three-part animated mini-series.

The story centers on the down-on-their-luck crew aboard the Therodoson, an Arkanaut Frigate hailing from the sky-port of Barak-Zilfin. Navigating high-stakes aerial contracts and hazardous realmscapes, the crew offers a fresh, profit-driven vantage point on the Mortal Realms.

Games Workshop teased that while the Kharadron take center stage, the crew will clash with several rival factions across their journey, though specific enemy reveals are being kept under wraps for now.

Landing on Warhammer TV

The premiere episode of Arkanaut is set to drop in October 2026 exclusively for Warhammer+ subscribers on Warhammer TV.

Between the broadside salvos of the Therodoson and the metallic aesthetic of the Kharadron Overlords, Arkanaut expands the streaming service’s growing fantasy slate alongside its heavy-hitting 40K projects.
