Return to Rainey Street: Hulu Debuts ‘King of the Hill’ Season 15 Trailer at Annecy
The Hills are officially back in Arlen, Texas. Hulu has debuted the highly anticipated trailer and key art for Season 15 of King of the Hill. The exclusive first look dropped out of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where series co-creator Mike Judge was honored with a career achievement award.
Following his award reception, Judge took the stage alongside original co-creator Greg Daniels and showrunner Saladin K. Patterson for a special screening and Q&A to break down what’s next for adult animation’s favorite loveably flawed Texas suburb.
Retirement, Romance, and Tech Scams on Rainey Street
The revival series continues to advance the timeline of the original 13-season Fox run, presenting an evolved but familiarly grounded vision of the Hill family. According to the official synopsis, Season 15 finds Hank and Peggy settling into retirement life on Rainey Street while trying to keep their notoriously eccentric neighbors from completely going off the rails.
The new trailer treats fans to a look at several major status-quo shifts and modern-day storylines:
-
The Next Stage: Hank and Peggy ponder life as empty nesters while navigating the quirks of aging together.
-
Young Love: Bobby and Connie are now officially a couple, with Bobby balancing old friendships against the intense, daily stresses of being an independent entrepreneur.
-
Modern Hazards: Classic neighborhood realism takes a digital turn as Hank falls victim to a sophisticated AI phone scam.
-
Dorkside of Arlen: Chaos hits the local economy when a massive sci-fi convention rolls into town.
A Celebrated Creative Continuum
Produced by 20th Television Animation, the series continues to benefit from its powerhouse original creative lineage. Judge and Daniels serve as executive producers alongside Patterson, who handles day-to-day showrunning duties.
The classic vocal backbone of the series remains intact, featuring Mike Judge pulling double duty as Hank Hill and Boomhauer, Kathy Najimy as Peggy, and Pamela Adlon as Bobby. The voice cast also features Stephen Root as Bill Dauterive, Lauren Tom as Connie, and Toby Huss stepping in as Dale Gribble.
Audiences won’t have to wait long to return to the alleyway. All 10 episodes of King of the Hill Season 15 are scheduled to stream simultaneously on Monday, July 20 via Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers. For fans looking even further down the road, the long-term future of the block remains secure, as Hulu has already proactively handed the animated comedy renewals for both Seasons 16 and 17.
