English Dub Review: Petals Of Reincarnation “Reblooming Reincarnation”

Petals Of Reincarnation has recently dropped its latest episode of “Reblooming Reincarnation.” In this episode, one character’s true plans finally appear to be revealed, but another twist is to be had: they might not be the one really calling the shots.

Our Take:

Last episode, Touya learned a surprising secret about his brother, Seiya, and his connection to the Returners. Things ended with a warning against Neumann’s true intentions and a fully awakened Haitou.

As things start out, Xiang Yu is setting up his next big attack. Caesar and Nostradamus have to hold off an enraged Haitou, with both losing their lives against her. However, Xiang Yu manages to restrain her, keeping her trapped within her human self. Touya takes it upon himself to rescue her, but Xiang Yu takes them all to the base, where she, along with Jubei, is medically treated.

It is then that things take a turn and Neumann announces her big plan: erasing the Sinners from humanity once and for all. This leads to a number of acts of great destruction being carried out by the Greats. However, this is just a taste of what’s to come. A three-month grace period is put into place before Neumann’s full plans are carried out.

It seems like the perfect time to worry. However, there is another twist at bay: Newton wakes up from his control and realizes that Neumann is also being controlled by another. And it’s someone pretty close to her.

Meanwhile, Xiang Yu has been badly hurt and doesn’t think he’ll last too long. He’s willing to let Touya take his talent to help. However, inspired by the truth about his brother, Touya is determined to fight without someone else’s talent. A satisfied Xiang Yu accepts this and is willing to die with the one he loves.

Overall, this is a powerful episode, but a twist means we’re still left asking questions on just what is really going on. However, it does lead to a few emotional moments, especially towards the end, as viewers are left to guess what will happen next.
