English Dub Review: An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess “An Observation Log of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess and Love’s Cupid.”
Overview:
In order for Cecil to find happiness with Heronia, avoiding the reverse harem route is essential. For that reason, Bertia has decided to become love’s cupid, pairing Cecil’s personal aide candidates with other noble ladies.
Our Take(Spoilers):
This episode was especially enjoyable for me as a romance lover. It was nice to see a lot of pairings happen fast without a bunch of stalling and slow-burning. I didn’t realize that Bertia was speed running these romances so that she could avoid the reverse harem route for Heronia. Bertia wants Cecil and Heronia to get together no matter what, so she gets all the other bachelors in her orbit paired off to make sure that happens.
One thing that Bertia isn’t counting on is Cecil’s feelings. With all these hijinks going on, it only makes Cecil’s feelings for Bertia grow. I don’t know if I would go so far as to say that he’s in love with her or anything yet, but he loves being around her. When everyone else behaves in the ways you expect, it can get boring, and Bertia is far from boring. The romance has been so good in this show that I hope our main couple gets the same treatment.
