English Dub Review: An Observation Log of My Fiancée Who Calls Herself a Villainess “An Observation Log of a Self-Proclaimed and Entering School”
Overview:
Time passes, and Bertia enrolls at Halm Academy, the same school as Cecil. At the same time, Heronia, the heroine of the otome game, also enrolls there. Wishing for a happy ending for Cecil, Bertia fights to bring the two of them together.
Our Take(Spoilers):
It took seeing it spelled out for me to realize that the original heroine’s name is Heronia. That’s hilarious. Another thing about the heroine is that I’m pretty sure she is also an isekai’d person. Mainly because the heroine isn’t acting like heroines usually do, and she said something about Bertia being the villainess, which is something only someone with knowledge of the game would say.
I have to say that I’m enjoying Cecil a lot as a character because, in some ways, he does everything in his power to appease Bertia in her wishes about staying true to the game. But at other times, he still wants to do his own thing, and he currently shows no interest in Heronia. Bertia even tricks him into an event where he and Heronia are trapped in a classroom, but he jumps out of the window.
Villainess anime aren’t usually my thing, but this one has started strong. I like that Cecil can’t place the feeling he has when Bertia keeps trying to set him up. It’s not quite anger, but he has a pang in his chest. I hate to say it, Cecil, but I think you might be in love with Bertia.
