Screen Australia Unveils $20.4M Funding Round for Diverse Animated Narratives

Screen Australia has announced a significant $20.4 million investment in production and development funding, supporting a total of 91 narrative projects. This round is particularly notable for debuting the Short Film Production Funding Program, marking the agency’s return to direct investment in short-form storytelling—a crucial stepping stone for emerging filmmakers.

While the funding covers a wide array of content, several adult-leaning and general-audience animated projects have taken center stage.
