English Dub Review: Oshi no Ko “Blind”
Overview:
Aqua confronts Ruby and starts to piece together the puzzle.
Our Take(Spoilers):
Aqua confronts Ruby about what she’s done to get to where she is. He’s not happy with her, that’s for sure, but it isn’t all that different from what he was doing until recently, right? He goes to visit Ichigo because he assumes that he’s the one giving Ruby her information. Aqua decides to tell him that Ai has already been avenged because the mastermind died. Only for Ichigo to bring up some facts about how the guy that Aqua thought did it was dead before Ai was murdered. That didn’t sit right with me because that feels like something Aqua would double-check before giving up on his life of vengeance. Unless they’re going with him, subconsciously wanting to be done with it or something.
What I wasn’t okay with was how he treated Kana. She happened to be driving by and saw him sitting on a bench in the rain. When he finally snapped out of his self-loathing episode, he had pushed her away. He didn’t apologize or anything, and she began to cry and left. I can understand why she’d do that; she loves him after all, and she has no idea why he’s pushed her away. I imagine he will be back on the revenge path now, and his actions toward her won’t change anytime soon… jackass.
