Wubba Lubba Dub Dub: Pickle Rick and Rick Prime Are Finally Coming to Fortnite
The multiverse is expanding once again. After months of rumors and anticipation, Epic Games has officially confirmed that Rick and Morty Wave 3 is hitting the Fortnite Item Shop this week. This latest collaboration brings two of the series’ most iconic (and dangerous) versions of Rick Sanchez to the island: Pickle Rick and Rick Prime.
Originally teased via a cryptic video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption “The Rickest Ricks,” the update marks a significant moment for the game—it’s one of the rare instances where a character previously available only as a “Back Bling” has been upgraded to a full-fledged playable skin.
Meet the New Skins
The Wave 3 collection focuses on the darker and more “solitary” versions of the grandfather-grandson duo:
-
Pickle Rick: Fans have spent years asking for a playable version of Rick’s most famous transformation. While we previously had the Pickle Rick Back Bling from the “Horde Rush” challenges, this new skin features the full “rat-suit” armor seen in the Emmy-winning Season 3 episode.
-
Rick Prime: The series’ overarching antagonist and the “original” Rick Sanchez. His clean, cold design serves as the perfect foil to the battle-worn skins already in the game.
Confirmed Release Date and Time
According to the official announcement and regional breakdowns, the Wave 3 bundle will drop on Friday, March 6, 2026. As per usual, the skins will go live during the standard Item Shop reset.
Cosmetics and Pricing
While individual prices are subject to Epic’s final confirmation upon release, the skins are expected to follow the standard crossover pricing of 1,200 to 1,500 V-Bucks each.
Confirmed and Rumored Items include:
-
“Wheel of Better Things Than Morty” Back Bling: A reference to the “Forgetting Sarick Mortshall” episode.
-
New Emote: An interactive emote based on the “Wheel of Better Things” game show.
-
The Rickest Ricks Bundle: A discounted package including both skins, the back bling, and a special loading screen.
Get your V-Bucks ready—the smartest man in the universe (and his deadliest variant) arrives this Friday.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
