Produced in collaboration with Mollo Animation, the project marks a major milestone for the fan-favorite franchise, bringing the complex, high-fantasy world of Niobe Atuyami to life through a vibrant, global lens.

A Breakthrough for Black Fantasy in Animation

Niobe, the “half-human, half-elf, part-angel, and part-demon” warrior, has long been a trailblazer in the comic book world for representation. The transition to anime feels like a natural evolution for a character whose story is defined by intense action, elemental magic, and epic world-building.

The series is being spearheaded by a creative trio of directors: Marthinus Van Rooyen, Lola Aikins, and Niobe’s creator, Sebastian A. Jones.
