English Dub Review: Trigun Stargaze “Martyr”
Overview:
Vash and Knives, and their respective allies, face off in a showdown at the crash site where it all started.
Our Take(Spoilers):
Legato comes to face off against Vash and Wolfwood. Of course, Legato is one of those villains who wishes to break a hero psychologically. If Vash wants to stop Legato, all he has to do is kill him, easy, right? Except that Vash is one of those heroes that refuses to kill, so that puts a damper on the whole thing. Legato gives him plenty of opportunities by practically putting the gun to his head himself. I always wonder what would happen if they did get killed in that situation. Would they be surprised?
One disappointing part was that I thought we were going to have to see Vash go through the torment of having killed someone himself. With Legato getting close to killing Wolfwood, Vash feels he has no choice but to fire at Legato. I was hoping we’d have to see Vash deal with the fallout of having to kill someone to save someone. Instead, some disintegrated the bullet, and if I’m not mistaken, that someone is Knives. He looks a lot different now, almost like an alien of sorts. Vash might have been saved from breaking his rule, but I don’t think safe from any anguish just yet.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
