English Dub Review: The Daily Life of the Immortal King “Muscle Remodeling with Protein Sect”
Overview:
Chen Chao and Wang Ling attend a bodybuilding school.
Our Take:
Wang Nuan was just born in the last episode and she’s already lifting more weight than I ever will. I didn’t realize how much I was going to enjoy Wang Ling’s little sister but now I’m wondering how we ever got along with out her. I especially love that Sun Rong has become a confidant for Wang Ling and she helps him keep not only his powers but his sister’s powers a secret. It feels like I’m watching them pour out mom and dad energy and with my romance loving heart, I’m here for it.
I feel bad for Chen Chao because it seems like he’s not given enough of a chance to make his father proud. What I should say is that his father seems like someone who is hard to please. If you have a weapon that weighs more than 50 tons then I think it’s fair to assume that your high school age son will have trouble carrying it. Wang Nuan helped Chen Chao impress the gym bros but I knew that when he got home he was going to have trouble. I may not have loved how Chen Chao was treated but I hope every episode has Wang Nuan now.
There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
