Our Take
Picking up from the previous episode, the story introduces a mysterious blind girl named Ink Wreathcraft, who claims to have no memory of her past or family. Flum remains cautious about the situation and asks her companions, including Sara and Jonny, to discreetly look into Ink’s background, but no useful information turns up. Despite the uncertainty surrounding her origins, Ink gradually settles into the household, where Flum and the others show kindness while keeping a careful eye on the situation. Meanwhile, developments outside their home continue to shift as former gang leader Dein loses influence and new figures begin moving behind the scenes.
Much of the episode focuses on slower character moments as Ink grows more comfortable with the group. The house begins to feel like a genuine found family, filled with playful teasing, small rivalries, and moments of warmth between the girls. Flum and Ottilie also follow up on lingering questions related to earlier conflicts, uncovering hints that larger forces, particularly those tied to the Church, may be influencing recent events. Even though the tone is calmer, these subtle developments suggest that the wider situation is still far from settled.
Overall, the episode leans into a more lighthearted, slice-of-life atmosphere, highlighting the growing bonds among Flum, Milkit, and their expanding circle of companions. While the pacing slows down to focus on character interactions and everyday moments, it also quietly plants seeds for future tension in the story. It’s also worth staying through the credits, as the wholesome post-credits scene offers a sweet, heartfelt moment that perfectly captures the warmth of the group’s newfound home life.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
