English Dub Review: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes “Balloon Soul”

Captain Celebrity tries to save the Sky Egg with Koichi’s help, while reminiscing on what brought him here.

Our Take(Spoilers):

I don’t know what happened for this show to go on a two-week hiatus, but I hope that doesn’t happen again. With what’s currently happening, I have a feeling I’m going to be sad when we conclude. Captain Celebrity is giving off major death flags right now, and we got to see his flashback on how he met his wife. I’m gonna go on a small tangent here, but do people in Japan think it’s still the 1950’s here in America or something? They showed Captain Celebrity when he was in school, and the way he was carrying his books was like how a student carried them in old cartoons or something.

Okay… dumb tangent aside, I loved getting to see how Captain Celebrity met his wife. She was a lot shorter than I expected, and, of course, she was one of the few people who didn’t worship him. So this led him to go after her a lot more than he would someone else.

I swear, if they did all this to kill him off and show his wife and baby all sad, I’m gonna be pissed. If he has to forcibly retire or something like that, I could live with it. That could be bittersweet enough, but please let him live happily with his wife and child.
