Our Take(Spoilers):

Oh yeah, a broken clock is right twice a day, right? I made that joke because it’s no secret that I’m not a fan of this show. But every once in a while, it has a decent episode. I could make an argument that this episode isn’t good either, but I view things a little differently than most. If a show can make me feel something, then I’m going to view it in a more positive light, and boy, did this episode make me feel things. Ironically, it was an episode that had the least amount of focus on Mizuho and her love life.

Airu discovers that his friend Toya has feelings for him when he kisses him. I felt bad for Toya because Airu invited Toya over for his birthday. He makes him dinner and a birthday cake, but he also won’t stop talking about Kizuki and even cancels plans to hang out with Toya to hang out with Kizuki right in front of him. In the future, we see that Airu is getting married, and I hope it’s to Toya, but he only ever says “boyfriend,” not a name.

The part that got me in my feelings was something involving Shugo. His brother randomly shows up to take him on some errands. Only that was a lie, and it turns out their father has passed away. Maybe this episode hit me on a bad day or something, but this really affected me, and I spent most of the episode as a blubbering mess. I’ve been rooting for Kizuki since the beginning, but I might have to switch sides now, especially with how flimsy Kizuki’s reasons for breaking off ties with everyone were. Shugo’s dad was rooting for his son and Mizuho to get married, so I think I might do the same.
