Sony Taps ‘Final Destination’ Duo for Animated ‘Venom’ Feature
The Lethal Protector is jumping from live-action to a whole new dimension. As first reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Sony Pictures Animation has officially greenlit an animated Venom movie, signaling a major expansion for one of its most successful Marvel properties.
The studio has tapped Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein to direct and produce the feature. The duo is fresh off the success of 2025’s Final Destination: Bloodlines, a horror hit that revitalized that franchise and proved their ability to handle high-stakes, visceral storytelling.
The project is still in its infancy, with Sony Pictures Animation currently opening a writers’ room to develop the script. Longtime franchise producers Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are also expected to return to shepherd the project.

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
