English Dub Review: You and I Are Polar Opposites “Episode 6”
Overview:
The school festival is in full-swing and when someone from Suzuki’s middle school days comes to visit, Tani learns he might not technically be her first boyfriend.
Our Take:
This arc isn’t done yet, so I could end up eating my words, but this show handled what could have been a big problem really well. Suzuki says that Tani is her first “real” boyfriend, and I think that’s true, but apparently, a friend of hers, Rihito, and she went out for like a day in middle school. It was one of those relationships that doesn’t really count because you’re so young, in my opinion. But I can understand why Tani gets jealous. I was fascinated by the fact that Suzuki used to have black hair. For some reason, I thought her pink hair was because of anime rules, but it turns out she dyes it.
I love how this show has been handling things. A situation like this would lead to a multi-episode misunderstanding in most other shows, but Suzuki and Tani clear things up right away. It also seems like at least one side couple is going to become a thing sometime soon, and I’m so glad this show is still my sweet and wholesome recharge of the week.

There's got to be some kind of twist that's going to happen with this. I don't know if they're setting up an April Fool's joke now or what's going on, but it seems too strange that they'd suddenly reverse on doing a fourth and fifth season after the show was already renewed and they were even just talking about working on those seasons like a couple months ago or something. Or maybe the two episodes yet to release will secretly somehow each be like a "season" in themselves?
