Video embarrassed the Announcer Star, or however that song goes
OVERVIEW (SPOILERS)
With a big sports festival, Shinobu wants to announce the best she can to make the event as exciting as possible, but confides in Arisu that she’s secretly considering quitting the Broadcast Club to focus on studies.
OUR TAKE
Well, we’re down to our final girl to cover and it looks like she’s extra special, because she gets to be in a TWO PART STORY that will conclude next week. Wow, I guess I was WAY off about Shinobu and Iko having to share an episode for their stories like Rikka and Nene. Is this implying that Rikka and Nene are simply not interesting or complex enough to warrant having as much focus as their latter two clubmates? Probably not, but that has resulted in them being tied for the least developed out of the four, though that hasn’t stopped Nene from already feeling the beginning stages of Tsundere Love Syndrome, where she feels a sudden panic when she sees . Arisu spending more time with other girls and then is frustrated as to why she feels this panic. It was kinda cute the first few times I saw this…to other characters in other shows almost twenty years ago, but now it’s rather old hat, especially when it seems to happen almost exclusively to characters with twin tail style hair for some reason. Anyway, we’re not here to talk about Nene, we’re here to talk about Shinobu, whose dream of being an announcer seems a bit more niche than her friends, but could still have a lot of impact if she really pursues it, as Arisu basically tells her.
Though as we learn, she’s starting to lose hope on that goal, as while her grades are perfectly fine, those who went on to be at the bigger and well known stations had much higher grades, so she may have to quit the Broadcast Club next semester in order to better prepare herself and study more. This would obviously be a big blow for this club, but also it’s way too early for this to actually be a problem or actual tension point, so it’s obviously not going to happen any time soon while we’re still getting to know these characters and Arisu is still trying to find out which of them is Apollo. So, instead of thinking there’s a genuine chance this horrible fate could come to pass, let’s just enjoy some sports festival shenanigans as Arisu shows how much of a secret sleeper athlete he is, but also how much effortless rizz he has between his four clubmates. And the episode ends with us meeting the club’s advisor who seems skeptical about Shinobu’s plan for an anonymous confession booth. To be continued!

"There are also other characters that come and go (also owned by the Warner Bros. Discovery conglomerate media company)."
Huh. Is that just referring to other characters from the show itself, or is this implying that the new season is going to have cameos from other WBD IPs
