English Dub Review: Trigun Stargaze “What a Wonderful World”

Overview:

Midvalley attacks Home and faces off against Wolfwood.

Our Take(Spoilers):

It looks like I might be getting my wish. But I might be getting ahead of myself a bit. Wolfwood and Midvalley have a beautiful fight, if you can describe it that way. Not only from a visual standpoint, but also the way Midvalley uses sound to attack is beautiful in it’s own right. While Midvalley gets the upperhand on Wolfwood, it turns out that it was a trap so that Vash could sneak up on Midvalley.

This means I’m getting what I want in the sense that it seems like Midvalley is going to be joining Vash’s group. I’ll admit I feel less sorry for him than I did previously because we saw some of his past. At a concert, he and some of his friends had killed a bunch of people using their instruments but when Knives was left alive it put them in his crosshairs. Knives killed Midvalley’s friends but left him alive. Midvalley might not have been as innocent as I thought, but he does seem remorseful. His loyalties will be put to the test immediately because Knives’ ship has located Vash and he’s coming for him.
